Preschool Classes

Your preschool students and teachers will love Tikkun Tunes’ weekly classes! Drawing on over a decade of experience in Jewish early childhood music and movement education, Tikkun Tunes’ classes support all aspects of childhood development while seamlessly weaving together your school’s curriculum with lessons in Jewish values, diversity, equity, and inclusion

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) states that “to be effective, anti-bias education works as an underpinning perspective, which permeates everything that happens in an early childhood program.”  It is in this spirit that Tikkun Tunes believes music and movement curriculum in preschools can and should have a strong anti-bias education component.

As Jewish educators, we know we have an additional obligation to make Jewish values and traditions come alive for our students, informing their future relationships to Judaism and the larger world long after they leave our classrooms. Tikkun Tunes weekly preschool classes are fun, joyful, and meaningful experiences that will stay with your students for a lifetime.

Religious School Programs and Services for School-Age Children

Tikkun Tunes’ offerings for religious schools and children in grades k-5 include weekly tefillah, Shabbat services, and holiday programs. Our programs encourage students to develop critical thinking, empathy, awareness of social justice issues, and a sense of agency to act for change, all within the context of Jewish learning. Students explore themes of justice and equity while learning about and participating in Jewish culture and spirituality through embodied prayer, song, art, and reflection.

A note for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) leaders

BIPOC earn, on average, 75 cents for every dollar earned by white men (63 cents for women and 87 cents for men). As a small step to help correct for this imbalance, BIPOC-led organizations can either receive a 25% discount on all Tikkun Tunes services or direct this savings to a non-profit of their choice.

A note for women, trans, and gender non-conforming (GNC) leaders

Women earn 81 cents for every dollar earned by white men. As a small step to help correct for this imbalance, women, trans, and GNC-led organizations can either receive a 19% discount on all Tikkun Tunes services or can direct this savings to a non-profit of their choice.
